Jessica Jones so far in it's first episode is the perfect example of what a excellently promoted and beautifully crafted series look like. Going on the marketing side alone, every piece of promotional footage and posters perfectly embodied what the series feels like from its dark, gritty, and "no holds barred" atmosphere. It's one of the rare cases when a show actually fully lives up to the trailers leading up to it's release. With season 2 of Daredevil in the horizon, I can already tell that Jessica Jones will keep me company until Netflix releases my next regretful decision to consider binge watching an entire series in one day.
Season Premiere Reviews
The beginning of a television series is arguably the most significant moment in a show's run. It's the moment that makes viewers hopefully say "Why yes, I will continue to watch this". This blog is primarily for reviewing those very important episodes. SPOILER ALERT!

Supergirl Series Premiere Review
I finally got to see the premiere of Supergirl and I'm not honestly too sure what to think of it. It's everything that the trailers made it out to be, so if you've really enjoyed the trailers so far, then I'm almost positive that you will be entertained by this premiere. As for me, I was just fascinated at the fact that we were actually getting a Supergirl live action show to begin with and after watching the first episode, I feel the same way basically. I'm more shocked and intrigued at the idea of the show existing at all more than the show itself. It was okay overall considering that I knew what I was getting myself into in the first place.

Blindspot Season 1 Premiere Review
Blindspot is a mystery-drama about a mysterious woman labeled by the FBI as Jane Doe who was found alive in a bag laying in Time Square covered all around with tattoos on her body. Struggling with memory loss, Jane is emotionally conflicted by having no awareness or background or life before being found in the bag. After having no blood or finger print matches on record, this intrigues the FBI's attention as they attempt to help her figure out what's going on while discovering that her mysterious body tattoos may map out a potentially dangerous puzzle. Blindspot stars Jamie Alexander (who some of you may recognize from the Thor films as Lady Sif) in the starring role as the complex Jane Doe. Starring alongside her is Sullivan Stapleton as Kurt Weller (FBI agent in charge of Jane's case as well as the name that is mysteriously tattooed on her back), Marianne Jean-Baptiste as Bethany Mayfair (Director of the FBI) and Rob Brown as Edgar Reed (FBI agent working alongside Kurt). The series is directed by Mark Pellington and is written and produced by Martin Gero (best known for his work on Stargate: Atlantis). Blindspot airs its pilot on Monday, September 21st at 10:00pm.

Killjoys Season 1 Premiere Review
Killjoys was one of those new TV series that snuck up on me by surprise and yelled "Hey!!! Don't give up on television yet just because some of your favorite shows got canceled!". So with that warm welcome, I watched the series premiere with open eyes and open arms. From the first shot of the different planets in space as well as the spaceship flying through, I immediately felt the "Syfy Channel Original Series" tag written all over it. Take that statement as you may, but I find that some shows actually profit from B grade visual FX given if the tone itself is more on the over the top fun side. After watching the episode in its entirety, I'm starting to believe that the show will definitely have fun with its characters and world as with its action scenes in the way that we've seen in films like the Resident Evil series, Wanted, etc.

Helix Season 2 Premiere Review
So far, my intrigue level is pretty high for this season as the first season left on a strong note. The setting is slowly (very slowly) winning me over and the timeline transitioning plot is very interesting. However, I'm finding myself more interested in what happened between the ending of the last season and the beginning of this one. Those gaps of important story points that are just begging to be told are really what's grabbing my attention. I will say that the whole cult vibe introduced in the show can be quite interesting depending on how they utilize it. It's sort of this season's "vectors" where we're probably going to progressively see how messed up and intelligent they really are. As for the cult leader, Michael, I wasn't head over heals with his debut, but he seems creepy enough to sell me on the idea of possible interesting character moments to come in the near future.
