Helix Season 2 Premiere Review

So far, my intrigue level is pretty high for this season as the first season left on a strong note. The setting is slowly (very slowly) winning me over and the timeline transitioning plot is very interesting. However, I'm finding myself more interested in what happened between the ending of the last season and the beginning of this one. Those gaps of important story points that are just begging to be told are really what's grabbing my attention. I will say that the whole cult vibe introduced in the show can be quite interesting depending on how they utilize it. It's sort of this season's "vectors" where we're probably going to progressively see how messed up and intelligent they really are. As for the cult leader, Michael, I wasn't head over heals with his debut, but he seems creepy enough to sell me on the idea of possible interesting character moments to come in the near future. 

Helix Season 1 Premiere Review

I've been curious about the show ever since the trailers came out a while back. Unfortunately, I was caught up with every other show that I've been watching. Now that I've finally given the series a shot with the first 2 episodes, I can safely say that I'll be watching this show for a while. The main characters are pretty descent for the subject matter (they're doctors who at least seem like they know what they're talking about) and the performances are good for the most part. The story so far is pretty simple and easy to follow along involving a virus outbreak in a contained facility. I feel what the show might focus on heavily in the future (theorizing here) are the characters themselves. Much like "The Walking Dead" which puts the characters in the spotlight and the overall science-fiction/horror story behind, I'm expecting to get some great character development throughout this series.
